Biography

Roxie is a sweetheart mixed breed (DNA report available). She has been with us for several years and does very well with kids, cats, dogs and all genders (not male-phobic). She is an amazing snuggler and her favorite thing to do is curl up with her human on the couch or bed to sleep. She is medium/low energy and doesn't require a lot of stimulation or exercise. She does love to run though, and enjoys going mach 7 at the dog park! Roxie is extremely intelligent, very good at puzzles, and would thrive in additional training classes. She is very healthy, up to date on vaccines, no special diet or medical concerns. We are looking for a new home for her because our home has become too chaotic for her mental and emotional well-being. Adult children moved home during COVID with their cats, our older large dog passed away and the new puppy is just too much for Roxie to have any peace in the house. It makes me so sad that she's so stressed out but I can't help her as our house is a total zoo. She has developed anxiety typical with her breed mixes and has become reactive to perceived dangers and stressors. She needs calm so she can be her loving loyal self without so much stimulus! She would do best as the only dog in the house, but she has lived with both big and small dogs for years without any problem.
