We unfortunately have to find a new home for our 1 yr old male maltipoo, Benji. He is up to date on all vaccines and neutered and has consistently been on Simparica trio for fleas, ticks, and heart worm prevention. He gets groomed every 6-8 weeks. While he doesn’t have any health issues he does have an overbite (you can barely notice it with all his fur) and does get carsick but a dose of Dramamine helps with that. He is trained to use pee pads but lately has been marking, I suspect as a stress response b/c we have other dogs. He will go potty outside if take out consistently. Something we have been failing to do. He gets along ok with the dogs he lives with but can be reactive and bark/growl at dogs he doesn’t know so super slow introductions are a must. In an effort to be completely transparent, he is a barker. It’s mostly b/c he wants attention and he just wants someone to cuddle him all the time. My partner and I both work full time and have been neglecting to give him the attention he wants and deserves. He can be a bit shy when first meeting new people but warms up after a bit and has never tried to bite anyone. Benji will come with his crate that he likes to sleep in (with the door open) and a small bag of the food he is currently eating. We feed purina pro plan but you can slowly switch him to whatever brand you’d like.
