Jor is an 18 month old, 60 pound male Alaskan Husky. He likes belly rubs in the morning and again just before bed. He LOVES to run, especially in the snow! Jor loves to play with other dogs. Big, small, he loves them all. It is his passion and he's good at it with an even keel personality when at the dog park - never flustered - and it is beautiful to watch him run and jump with the other dogs.
And snow? He was designed for snow and will gladly run and play in the snow all day long.
As a blue eyed Husky, while walking around the city, there is a constant stream of "that is a beautiful dog" when people see Jor. He is not a barker, but on occasion he will talk like a Husky to let you know about his opinion on certain training concepts. Other than that, he's very quiet. He is crate trained, but not quite able to handle being with the cats just yet. Jor has a bit of stranger danger, so while he is fine greeting other people around town, when people come into our house we take things slow.
We adopted Jor from a local shelter in order to protect him from an imminent euthanasia due to circumstances beyond Jor. Our goal from the beginning has been to re-home him after a few months of training and life with stability, which he did not grow up with.
We are starting to plan our multi-year overseas travels so it is time to give Jor up, as sad as it is. We have fostered over 30 cats and dogs these past few years and each one is hard to see go. We hope we can find a great home for this really Good Dog. He deserves it.
