Biography

Bailey is a fully vetted 5 year old mixed breed spayed female weighing approximately 45lbs. A DNA test was conducted on a member of her litter which showed: 1/8th Collie, 1/8th Border Collie, 1/8th Labrador retriever, 1/8th American Staffordshire Terrier, 1/8th American bulldog and the other 3/8ths were not distinct but believe came from terrier group, herding group and companion group. She is house broken and trained in basic commands. She is a dominant dog and isn’t great with other dogs, but loves her people and is eager to please. She is a high energy dog and loves to play and take walks.

Bailey is a sweet girl who is always willing to cuddle and play. Bailey had a severe disc injury in December 2022 (IVDD) that required surgery. Without surgery she would not have had use of her back legs. Surgery was performed at the Purdue Veterinary Hospital in Lafayette, IN. Bailey has made a nearly full recovery. Bailey will slide on hard wood and it’s noticeable that her back legs are at about 85% where they will most likely stay. She can run and play like normal. Our home is all stairs and Bailey should be limited on stairs and jumping due to risk of reinjury. Chances are low but we want what’s best for her. We also have 3 kids under 3 that require a lot of attention, taking away from Bailey. She deserves a good home with the attention she deserves.

Bailey would do best in a ranch home and be the only dog in the home. Bailey is good with kids but the unpredictable movements startling her isn’t good for her back, Adults only or kids 12+ would be best.
