Biography
We adopted Scruffy here in Austin TX in June of 2021.
We were told he was a terrier mix but his temperament is different from typical terriers we've cared for. We believe he may be part Old english sheep-dog.
He is house-trained, has great recall (at home), affectionate and cuddly, smart and eager to learn. However he is anxious on leash while on walks or on outings with the family especially when in the presence of other dogs he is unfamiliar with.
He requires more one-on-one training and play time, more space to roam and run, and a family that can dedicate more time to him than we are able.
Unfortunately (and sadly) are looking to re-home him to a family that can provide him the level of attention, physical space, and mental stimulation he needs to live a long healthy joyful loved sheepdog-appropriate life.
We will continue to care for him until we can connect him with a family we strongly believe he can flourish with.
