Indy is a Shepherd/Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix. He is very intelligent and already protective of his household. He does not show any inclination of bolting the premises. Indy has learned a lot of the basic, but being only a year old he still has good manners that need working on. He is very active, and just want to be in amongst all the activity. He loves doing air pirouettes for his toys and is fast at fetching, like his namesake.
We are a senior household that took over care of Indy for a family member that could not keep up with full responsibility due to recent health issues. We took over care to keep Indy from ending up at a shelter, but being a senior couple, Indy has way more energy, and needs continual hands on training that we just can not keep up with.
Along with items listed in profile below, Indy is also chipped. He sleeps very will in his kennel at night, inside our home. We have pretty well trained him to lay down by dinner table when we are eating. He loves to be outside, but he is also an inside pet. With the time we have spent with Indy (even though he is not a purebred) we see him as being a trained agility contestant for someone who may be looking for that kind of pet, Or,possible be trained by a volunteer search and rescue handler. We have hidden things from him, he has the nose, goes right for the item. Indy has so much potential to be used and he wants to use that potential also. Oh, he can do with cats.
