Biography
Aspen is a sweet deaf girl who was rescued from oakland at 3 months old. We have had her in our home for almost 9 months. She is potty trained, walks well on a leash, knows many tricks with sign language despite her hearing impairments. She often checks in with us, and has never been a flight risk.
Because she has hearing challenges, AND she is an cattle dog she is not very trustful of strangers. She is a nipping breed by nature, and has nipped a few people. She does NOT do well with children. With our own, she has learned to trust them, but still will occasionally nip when she feels frightened by their movement.
She does well outside as well, does not have any separation anxiety and is generally a quiet dog.
Due to her temperament with kids, we have to find her a new loving home that may be a better fit for her. Someone who is familiar with the breed. To anyone thinking of taking her, she will do well with space to let her bond. Once she allows someone into her circle, you will forever be loved.
