Chewy: 8yr old 'Giant' Alaskan Malaumute (purebred) he was bred to be a bigger size than normal.
Rehoming because WE didn't do the proper research and had our small animals eaten. It was a traumatic event and even my 5yr old niece saw the mess. He is just neglected now and isn't given proper care. He needs a diet and lots of petting.
Neutered, Up to date on shots.
Good with dogs, children, strangers, and familiar humans.
NOT good with cats or small animals that aren't dogs.
Because he's a Malamute, it's normal for him to hunt and he thinks small animals are fair game. Can be taught otherwise, if trained. Make sure to do research if you don't understand the breeds behavior.
He may need more vitamins for joints, no medication.
He weighs 135lbs, and is roughly 34inches tall up to his head.
My sister and I will work together to get him rehomed to a good home and we will assess all situations and make sure that whoever is picked is a good fit and will stay in contact.
Chewy is slow and low energy, but he is very sweet, cuddly and loves people. He doesn't have a bite history. He was with another dog, but he has been successfully rehomed to someone loving.
