Biography
We were blessed with rescuing a dog, Jeor, near my home. We kept him for days while searching for his owner, before taking him to the Maricopa County Animal Shelter. They listed him as 110lbs, 8yrs old, German shepherd mix.
He got all his vaccines, basic health check-ups, microchip, and was neutered. We ended up adopting Jeor as he had done well with our cats and small dog. Unfortunately, he is over-eager with the cats now to the point that we've had to isolate them. As much as it breaks our hearts we realize that we need to rehome him to a family that is better suited to him. Jeor is very sweet and laid back, has no behavioral issues, likes walks and toys, does not bark or jump, follows you around, and loves to lay next to you by the couch and bed. He is like a big puppy. He also is happiest and relaxed when someone is with him. Likes to have people around him. Jero does great with kids (my niece 15 yrs old, down to nephews, 5 and 8, loved him), elderly, and small dogs. He is best suited to a larger home with no cats. As of 9/14, he is in an inflatable e-collar so he does not lick his neuter stitches. Behavioral concerns he likes to try and go outdoors inside the house and lead outside.
We are looking for someone wanting to take this big guy into their home. His size makes him look intimidating but he is truly a gentle giant. For the time being, we could foster him but ideally, because of the cats, we would like to take him to a different foster location until the perfect home environment could be found.
