Juno was born on 12/27/2020 and is approaching her third birthday. She was adopted as a puppy from a local rescue and we did attempt to have them aid in the rehoming process, but they have been unhelpful. Juno has always had anxiety. It started small- a distrust of people wearing hats, a dislike of water- but it gradually reached the point where we could not even take her out for walks. We sought help from a canine behavioralist and have tried a variety of anxiety medications, many of which had negative side effects or were limited in how much they actually helped Juno. We recently made the decision to wean her off of her medications, and have found that she has been doing okay without them as long as she has coping mechanisms available (ie carrying a favorite toy) and a sense of routine. We have a busy schedule and an infant living in the home, and believe that a calmer, more predictable environment would help Juno. She is very affectionate with her chosen human and loves cuddling. She is smart and just needs the right person. She is crate trained. I will provide her crate, dog beds, toys and some food to get you started.
