Shelby was born May 2014 and was rescued by my son in law in 2018. He is now in the army and I only provide what she needs and don’t show her enough love because I’m not an animal person.
She is the sweetest most loving and obedient dog ever. Very laid back and only wants attention. Shelby gets along well with other cats, dogs, kids, and adults. She loves men and friendly women most. She gets overly excited when she sees other dogs because she wants to play but she’s not aggressive at all.
She’s very passive and has only barked twice (when a cat entered our backyard) in the 5 years that we’ve had her.
She’s intelligent and was trained to use the bathroom in one area of the yard so that it’s not everywhere. Just show her where to relieve herself 1-3 times and she’ll remember to go there only.
She was healthy and has no issues during her last vet visit in December 2022, but I have noticed some hair thinning/loss on her face, knees and belly. I thought she needed a thicker bed since she’s older now, but that hasn’t helped. It could be from age or hotspots from licking that area because she’s bored. A vet visit will be needed to look further into it.
Please only take her if you’re keeping her for life and can give her love and attention. She deserves love and stability.
