Biography
Roux is my first independent rescue from being put down at the BARC City of Houston Shelter. Roux is a good looking American Staffordshire Terrier mix looking for a for his forever home. He loves to cuddle, go on his morning walks around the apartment complex and through the piney woods. When hiking on trails he follows behind with no leash or goes in front and waits on me to catch up with him. When he gets a scent or goes to chase a critter he comes back when called. This goofball loves affection and will cuddle up with you while you watch your favorite show in the evening. He is trained to not be on the couches or bed unless invited to do so. Roux is in the process of being crate trained, as he is an escape artist and suffers from separation anxiety. Roux is a good boy who is already potty trained, walks great on leash, and well mannered. Roux is fixed, up to date on medication and vaccines, and is looking for his forever home. Roux tested positive low for heart worms but should clear up and I was told the BARC offers free heartworm treatment for him.
