Biography
This is Bella, a 2 1/2-year-old lab mix. Bella was rescued here on the island, but she has had some challenges, including food aggression that never quite went away.
Recently, we noticed some concerning behavior when she unexpectedly went after our dogs' necks. We believe she might be trying to assert dominance, but it's a behavior we can't ignore. We also just found out we are pregnant and aren’t willing to chance anything like food aggression setting her off and hurting a baby.
Bella needs to be in a home with no other animals and no children. Bella has always been fine around older kids but younger ones we aren’t sure. Bella is such a sweet and intelligent dog who thrives on adventures and hikes. We want to find the best possible home for her where she can be happy and loved.
