Biography
saint bernard/boxer mix. he is four years old and great with kids. overall monte is very obedient and knows multiple tricks. he is good on and off the leash and is house trained.
monte has separation anxiety.
backstory: i got him two years ago from the humane society and he is the epitome of a covid dog. he was never kennel trained and i have tried but it would get to the point he would hurt himself. he does take trazadone, but he gets destructive when left home alone.
i work overnight, 12 hour shifts and a single mom so the amount of stress is really getting to me. i have tried everything and been as patient as i can & he needs someone that isn’t gone near as long. or even more perks if he goes to a home where someone works from home or an older couple that is looking to care for someone/thing
he is great with kids and gets along great with other dogs (i don’t know about cats). monte is 75 lbs and sometimes thinks he is a puppy and tries to play with the little dogs like he is one 😅
up to date on all vaccines. he does do fine while boarded at the kennel.
this has been a terribly hard decision and i love the dog, but i’m at a loss anymore on what more i can do.
