Klaus is a Pyrenees/Lab mix who is about 5 years old. Klaus is a very sweet and loving animal but he is currently not thriving in his present environment. He was raised in a home with a large property but has been stuck in a small apartment now and is showing signs of rapid decline in confidence. It has come to a point where even the noises of thin walls are leaving him with his tail between his legs and times and we do not have the heart let him continue to suffer and not benefit from a larger home where he can receive the space, attention and exercise he deserves. We love him very much and this has been a very difficult decision to pursue but we feel we have to do what is best for him. Sadly our lives are also no longer in a position to be able to offer him anything more than a lot of kennel time and occasional visits to dog parks or some evening walks. We do not feel that is fair to him.
We are seeking an opportunity to turn him over so that he can have a fighting chance at adoption. We have tried online sites and other shelters but we have been turned away every time due to unavailable space or regional issues.
Klaus is about 65-70lbs. White fur, fully vaccinated, house and kennel trained. He is heavily socialized with other animals including cats and was raised around children as well. Klaus as experience with dog parks and has an enthusiasm for people pleasing with training. He is very food driven, so treat training and building trust rapport is quick with him.
