Lily joined our home approximately a year ago, after being surrendered to our local Humane Association. She is a Red Tick Beagle. Her prey drive is INTENSE and she needs proper training and working in accordance to her breed. She is a sweet dog and has a lot of affection. She gets along with her dog family here and isn’t typically aggressive unless it’s feeding time and the order of feeding is not maintained. Resource guarding can be an issue. There are older children in our household, but I would recommend no small children around her. She doesn’t like to be grabbed or handled.
She is very affectionate to her owner. She likes to be right at your side and sleeps under the covers next to me.
She is not a “cuddly” dog, per se, but definitely loving and sweet. She will grab the nearest item and display it proudly when I come home.
Unfortunately, we are renting a home and it is being put up for sale, so we have to find another home for Lily.
