Biography
My name is Tommy the Cat. I’m about two years old and live with my mom-for-now, dad-for-now, and a sister kitty. My mom and dad like having me around, but I have a hard time behaving myself around my big sister so unfortunately this isn't the best forever home for me.
I love to play and I’ve never seen a toy I didn’t like – wand toys, automatic/interactive toys, you name it. My challenge is that my sister kitty doesn't want to play as aggressively as I do. I would probably be most successful in a forever home with no pets or with established pets that will help me learn boundaries. I’m also a really good hunter, but I'm still learning that human arms and legs and toes aren't toys. My forever human(s) will need to be patient with me as I continue to learn that when I'm over-stimulated it's not OK to bite and scratch. I keep trying not to and I’m getting better.
I love to look out windows and go on "walks" outside. With a little help from treats, putting on my harness and leash is no problem. Outside I love to look, listen, smell, and roll around, and I'm purring the whole time.
My "on" switch doesn't turn off very often. I'm curious, active and engaging and I love to be in the middle of all the action, so I would thrive in a setting with windows, toys, and plenty of interaction with my person/people. I will greet you with meows and purrs and leg rubs and requests for attention. When I'm in the right mood, I can't get enough cheek and chin scritches and will curl up in your arms and purr (but I should be in a forever home with experienced cat owners who can learn to read my "stop signs").
I’m a healthy kitty - I’m up-to-date with my shots and vaccinations, I have been neutered, and I have a microchip. I do best with a slow-feeder food dish, and I should take probiotics with my dinner everyday.
I know I'm a great kitty... even the staff at the boarding facility I stayed at for a week loved me! My mom-for-now and dad-for-now wish they could keep me, but they know there is an even better home for me out there. I've learned so much about being a good kitty and have so much love, so many laughs, and tons of adventures to give my forever family. Is that with you?
