Biography
( pronounced NELL-ya )
Neljä is a cheeky orange cat who was found around our home, and approached us for help and compassion. She was dirty, malnurished, and had a double eye infection. After a quick snack of Tuna, we brought her to a vet to see if she had a chip (she didn't).
As it was late on a Friday night, we decided to let her stay with us for a few days to get back on her feet. We set her up in the spare bedroom and have since gotten her chipped, dewormed, and shots (specific details available upon request).
Once she was medically cleared to be around other cats, we attempted to slowly introduce her to our other cats. Unfortunately, it didn't go well. We've been spending time with her when we are able, but she's had to remain isolated from the rest of the cats.
Neljä is sweet, and (very) talkative, and loves attention. She spends her time looking out windows, sleeping in blanket-nests, and typical cat zoomies. However, she's prone to over-stimulation even at her own volition. She'll tell you when she's had enough attention for the time being. Initially she did this by biting but as we've been working with her, she's dialed it back to more of a nip. (still uses claws... we're working on that)
Neljä needs a tolerant person who can be her world and likely to be the only cat of the household.
She's got all the indications of a wonderful companion; she just needs a bit of help to get there.
