Biography
Roman is an incredibly friendly, well behaved gentleman. He loves attention, soft blankets, and a good snuggle in bed.
He is not territorial, does not spray, mark, hiss or otherwise show aggression towards food, spaces, or toys. He is litter box trained to both enclosed and open receptacles, eats two balanced meals a day, does not jump onto counters, dressers, or other “off limits” spaces, does not scratch furniture (although the occasional carpet scratch is inevitable with him), plays well with almost any toy, and is able to adapt to change relatively well for a cat.
He was diagnosed FIV positive prior to my adoption of him, but is not showing any signs of decline or effect from the viral infection. He is otherwise a happy, healthy, well cared for cat!
I am looking to rehome him solely due to an incredible decline in my health after a COVID stint earlier this year. My asthma has gone from a minor nuisance to an every day battle and it’s unfortunately perpetuated by Roman’s dander/bodily excretions, and nothing I do seems to help alleviate this. I’ve attempted dietary changes, daily brushings, air purification, topicals, corticosteroids, antihistamines, the list goes on but I am still declining.
It with an incredibly heavy heart that I’ve reached the point of needing to find a new, loving home for my cat as I just cannot continue to care for him as he deserves to be cared for. It’s not fair for either of us to be living how we are at present.
Anyone interested in adopting this sweet guy will get sent home with all the required necessities that come with caring for a cat, at no charge. I just want to see him placed in a good home with someone able to love him as he deserves.
