Biography
Nico is a sweet, wonderful boy who loves to go on neighborhood walks and pretty much any outdoor thing you can think of but also loves to chill at home and cuddle. He is pretty low-medium energy despite being a cattle dog, and is happy as long as he gets out once a day and has quality time with the people he loves. We adopted him nearly 6 years ago from the Idaho Humane Society after he went through the IDAPI program, which means he is very well trained including tricks, leashed walks, muzzle, crate, and e-collar. We are sad to have to rehome him because he no longer gets along with our other dog. Nico is a wonderful dog and loves all humans he meets, but has developed problems with other dogs (for which he's gone to a lot of training and the behavior is very manageable outside the home for an owner who is willing to keep up with the training) that causes him to need to be in a single-pet home. He does seem to get along better with female dogs, but still should always meet new dogs while wearing his muzzle and shouldn't live with any other pets. He is also relatively untested around young kids, so the best fit for him would be a single human or couple who doesn't mind keeping up with his training. With humans, he is snuggly and sweet and incredibly loyal. He is such a wonderful dog and if it weren't for the problems between him and our other dog, we would never give him up.
