Biography
About Luna:
Luna is an incredibly sweet, reserved, kind, and loving dog. She adores people and is always excited about life. She's a 75-pound lab-pit mix but she is surprisingly docile and well-mannered. She’s the perfect dog for someone who is looking for a lifelong loyal companion.
History:
Luna we think is around 4-5 years old. We got her from the Vista Humane Society about 4 years ago and is in great health. She comes from a broken household with other dogs that would mistreat her so we are looking for an owner/home that is willing to give her the space and love that she needs, especially away from other dogs. We’ve trained her well enough to not mind when other dogs are around, but she’s still processing the trauma of her previous home and prefers not to. SHE IS A REACTIVE DOG, as a result of us moving into a home with many other dogs we want to find her a home with someone who is interested in having a first-time experience with a dog (she was our first and she has been nothing but a sweetheart in the years we’ve had her), or alternatively someone who’s maybe older and can tend to her on a more regular basis and overall give her a better life. If this sounds like you, all inquiries are welcome!
Personality:
Myself and my girlfriend are homebodies and pretty relaxed so by virtue, Luna is very similar to us. She loves to take naps and usually sleeps in her crate at night covered by a blanket (the Humane Society said it helps her feel safe before bed).
She gets zoomies from time to time but she's getting older so she’ll run for like 5 minutes at full speed and then sleep for 2 hours right after. She likes watching TV/Movies with you.
Not a fan of personal space, she’ll cuddle up to you if you're stationary. She’s a little awkward and really funny to be around.
She has really expressive eyes and is usually smiling everywhere she goes. If she's enjoying herself or is scared in any way it’s really easy to tell just based on her expressions.
She loves belly rubs, especially first thing after she wakes up.
Her eyes are sensitive to light so in the mornings or on bright days she gets all squinty.
