Biography
Aria is a very energetic dog. We adopted her when she was 14 weeks old. She was dropped at a shelter when she was between 4-6 weeks old. She moved from there to a foster home and back to the shelter before coming to us. Due to her being taken from mom so early she struggles with anxiety and separation anxiety. She is medicated daily for it. We have tried all different things to help with the anxiety but almost 5 years later she has not settled down. She gets along great with other dogs and loves to play. The bigger struggle we have is the constant whining and barking. Even if she is beside you on the couch. If you pack to go somewhere she loses her mind and yelps and whines because she thinks you are going to leave her. She also steals food, not only from the counter but also from your hands. I will also disclose that that last time she stole food from my hand she bit me in the process. It was not done out of aggression but still something to be aware of.
I strongly believe that she would benefit from a home where someone is home all day to give her all the attention and a home with no children primarily because of the food stealing. Otherwise she is good with kids.
