Biography
Luke is roughly 6 years old. I adopted him from Austin Animal Center in March of 2019. Luke gets along well with my two cats, he plays with them and respects their space. He is house trained, crate trained, rides well in a car, and knows several tricks like sit, stay, wait, shake, give, and a few others. He loves kongs and tough toys but will shred stuffed toys. He is an extremely sweet cuddle bug with me, however he is reactive and will resource guard me. He has bitten a three people that have come into my apartment when they were unexpected, including my husband. He is also reactive towards other dogs wether in the house, yard, or on leash. Luke will bark, lunge, snap, and bite at the leash. He’s never bitten me, but I’m currently pregnant and he recently lunged while I was walking him and turned back and hit my stomach area. He can be worked with and had shown improvement but needs someone with the ability to devote more time to consistent training. I worry about Luke’s quality of life with us now because he will spend so much time in a crate or room by himself.
