Biography
Penny is a 6 year old miniature poodle/chihuahua mix. She is an absolute character! Favorite things: chewies, laps, soft dog beds, sunbeams, short walks, and naps with her favorite person. Least favorite things: other dogs, delivery people, being alone for long periods of time. Penny's ideal home would be one with a person or people who are home most of the time. Retired folks or a person who works from home would be best. She CANNOT live with other dogs, but does fine with confident cats. She would be best suited in a home with no children, or one with older, respectful kids, due to her small size and delicate frame. Penny is trained to use potty pads, does well in a crate for short periods, and will use the backyard if a door is left open for her. She will, however, potty on carpets and rugs. Her new owner will need to understand this and commit to a life without carpet. She's a great little watchdog and will alert you to activity outside your windows. She will NOT be rehomed with someone who uses shock collars or spanking as a means of discipline. She is a sweet, funny, happy little dog who deserves to be cuddled and cherished for the rest of her life.
