Biography
Gambino (Bino) is a young (2 years old) Marama / Labrador mix. He is sweet and playful, definitely a great acreage dog and potential guardian for your animals or to guard your property. He is house trained and once he is comfortable with his surroundings, he keeps a keen eye on things. He does require time to build the circle of trust of his care people. Bino came to us earlier a few months ago through a failed relationship. He is neutered. He is very curious around other animals, including other dogs, chickens, etc. and would be most comfortable with another dog to live with. We are not in a position to keep him due to our current living environment. Bino is very much a dog in search of a job, and we're unlikely to be able to give him such a role. If you have goats, sheep, cows, horses or other animals, he wants to be their vigilant protector. He is in excellent health, and has no dietary allergies or restrictions that we are aware of. He behaves well on a leash and has had at some minimal prior training, ie: Sit, stay, etc. His recall is poor but can be convinced with treats some of the time. If you're not familiar with the breed, he would be best suited to larger sized properties with preferably enclosed spaces for him to run around in, and other animals to look after. Bino is extremely protective against strangers and unknown visitors and requires a proper environment to allow him to be that optimal guard dog and companion. He trusts other owners that have a dog with them.
