Biography

Ahab is a beautiful, sweet cuddly boy. He is full of playful energy. He gets along well with dogs, cats and kids. He is a typical Blue Heeler he follows his human vying for attention. He is a smart boy that loves to learn. He will fetch a ball relentlessly. If he gets his daily exercise he is a cuddly couch potato. He loves to accompany his humans on outings to restaurants, coffee shops, and long walks. He does very well with strangers. He does need someone who is very active and understands the breed. He is a barker when excited as well as to alert. He is very good walking on a leash as well as walking trails off leash. He is crate trained however it is not advised to leave him for long hours because he gets anxious when left too long. He has a strange fear of bird feathers, yeah, I don't know where that came from. He needs to be in a home with a fenced in yard (no apartments).

He has been neutered and micro chipped. He is all caught up on vaccines.

We are looking for a new home for Ahab because our daughter could no longer keep him because of her busy life didn't allow to give him what he needs. He is a very loved boy. Our hearts are sad to have to let him go.

We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable of the breed and disciplines with positive refocusing. He like any other Blue Heeler needs at least 2 hours daily of exercise or play time with his human. They really are not play alone dogs. So if you are looking for a dog partner for hikes or runs he is what you're looking for.

He is a fast learner and loves to please. He watches the eyes and direction given.

He has been on a grain free dog food and treats. He definitely will not take treats from strangers.
