Biography

Sweet dog, very chill and generally just wants to sleep all day by your feet. Great with people, especially kids. She can get along with other dogs but will bully smaller ones and try to ignore, or be anxious, around bigger ones so she isn't social in that regard. We have a cat that she likes to "play" with by charging her and obviously the cat is not a fan, so I would say no cats is best too. She takes daily meds, a small gabapentin and sertraline that can easily be thrown on a spoon with peanut butter every morning.

She LOVES to eat but gets too chunky if she free feeds so we put her on a feeding schedule.

For some reason she likes to lick the floor and her bed a lot. Sniffing for crumbs possibly lol.

She is housetrained and will either bark to go outside or go to the door. She DOES need to either be walked on a leash or given a fenced backyard because she likes to wander off and explore.

She is hard of hearing but will generally work with gestures (pointing down for "sit" or "come here" or in a direction for "go that way" etc etc)

Originally adopted her from the aiken county shelter in 2017 where her age was stated as 3 y/o so that is how her age has been calculated. She also showed signs of being abused by her previous owner so that is why she is on the sertraline: for anxiety. She is NOT destructive, and VERY quiet (especially surprising considering she is mostly part beagle) so her anxiety manifests as her "checking up on you" when you are out of her sight, pacing, or licking the floor.

Along with adopting her I will also include her bed, toys, meds, food, clothes (she has multiple outfits lol) and her other stuff. I just want her to go to a good loving home that can give her the love and attention she deserves!qp
