Biography
Fred is a sweet active dog who needs an active family with a farm or large yard and an active life. He is not aggressive and has had some trauma. He was hit by a car at 6 months and had to have surgery on one of his back legs. Fred has a great personality and loves everyone (he tried to leave with the postman by jumping in his truck for an adventure). We brought him home to 9 acres as a puppy and he loved it. He would sleep on the porch (in the day), walk around, run, even "help" in the garden digging potatoes and chasing deer and rabbits away from the lettuce. He has done postive training and has excellent recall. He responds really well to calming protocals. We love him very much but as a three year old heeler, he needs a more active life and a different environment than we can give him right now. Next year, we plan to move to a condo in Ireland.
Fred also struggles with demand barking. In the past when he live in the country he had more stimulation and did not bark. He is very treat responsive and we are working with him to improve behavior.
Fred is a smart sweet dog and if you are looking for a high energy doggy to walk, run, or do farm chores with we think Fred could be a great fit!
If you think fred would be a good fit for your family please reach out we would love to talk to you.
