Biography
This is Frog! Aka Froggy Doggy, Frogarama, Mrs. Froggenbottom. Half husky, half everything else, and all goodest girl. Froggy loves to frolic and fetch and have fun, and when playtime is over and it's time for belly rubs and cuddles on the couch, her 1% miniature poodle really shines! About 40 pounds and about a year old, her sweet face and fluffy corkscrew tail are irresistible.
Froggy is spayed, up to date on her shots, potty trained and solid with sit, come, lie down, go sleepies and shake (both paws!). Still working on stay and crate training- she loves her crate but doesn't love being confined to it. Currently she rings a bell to go outside but could easily be trained to use a dog door if that's what you prefer. She's great with most other dogs off leash but still fear reactive when she sees unfamiliar dogs when on leash, so that will take continued training. She's been through a course of puppy training and continuing with more would really help with her socialization.
Frog would do best in a home without small children. She is great with the kids in her current home but it took a long time to get there, and while she has made great strides in tempering the jumping and puppy mouthiness, it still comes out sometimes when she's excited and she could easily knock down little ones. She likes living with other dogs but we would recommend proper slow introductions since she can be fearful. We're not sure about cats but our guess is that she would chase them as she tries to on walks.
Froggy needs a stable living situation and would thrive with an experienced adopter who can give her the time and patience she deserves. She can struggle with fear and anxiety in new situations, and is looking for someone committed to fear free training methods.
