Biography

Mercedes “Mercy” is a 2 year old Anatolian Shepherd seeking an only pet home. She is extremely people friendly and loves kids. She knows basic commands such as sit, down, and paw. With reminders she will respect doorways and wait for her food. We’re starting to learn a bed stay.
Mercy would do best as the only pet in the home. As a livestock guardian breed she would enjoy a yard to protect. With enough exercise and engagement she can be trusted alone for short periods.
We are her second home. Mercy was bought to be a livestock guardian but was soon chasing goats and killing chickens. She was rehomed to us where we quickly learned she hates our other dogs. In public she can be walked past other dogs with little to no issue. She just can’t abide them in her living space. We firmly believe she could be someone’s perfect companion, so long as she is the only one.

Mercedes is up to date on vaccines and was spayed and had a gastropexy on 9/27/23. She will remain in recovery until 10/11/23 and can go home after that date.
