Fitz-Roy is a 8 year old French bulldog who loves to play hard and cuddle by your side indoors.
Fitz is eager to please and very easily trainable. He does play rough with other dogs which can sometimes get him into trouble. He does not do well at dog parks or daycare due to his intense energy and rough play. He gets overly stimulated and cannot control his behavior. He is a good walking companion and has potential for being trained to walk off leash. He is also a wonderful hiking dog and has done many hikes with us over the years.
Fitz gets very excited when he meets new people. Like a puppy, he nips at hands or toes which requires constant correction. Fitz's future parent(s) need to be experienced with high energy dogs and not hesitate to provide correction as needed.
Fitz does have separation anxiety so he would do best with someone who works from home or is not gone all day. He would be a great companion to a single person or couple. Young kids and cats not recommended. He gets along well with our great Dane/shepherd mix.
