Biography
Obi (short for Obi-Wan Kenobi), is 58 pounds and is around 1.5 years old. Obi's specific breed is unknown, but the shelter included that he is part rough collie and chow. After meeting multiple other dogs, we assume there may be shepherd of some sort too.
Since having Obi, we have noticed that he is great with other dogs and is friendly with other humans. We have not had him around small children and do not know what his behaviors would be. The shelter also informed us that Obi should not be in a home with cats. His behavioral concerns include biting due to food aggression, guarding behaviors (won’t get off the bed or go into kennel, will attempt to nip the person trying to move him), constant biting (but playfully for need of oral stimulation), and high energy and herding due to breed.
We are confident that with the correct behavior training, patience, and time commitment, Obi can genuinely be your next best furfriend. Obi knows how to sit and lay down, is good on a leash, and is house trained. He loves to cuddle and follow you around. He’s great with other dogs -and knows his name well.
