AKC , long coat German Shepherd. Multiple training classes including intro to nose work. Currently in a small group training class at Adventure Trails and some private lessons twice a month . Lives with a Husky mix. Crate trained and spends minimal time in the crate. Sleeps in the great room with his Husky sister.Smart and learns quickly. Plays with other dogs but may do better as an only pet. Does not see many
Children other than walking past playgrounds. Loving and devoted.
Strong willed so needs to know you are his leader. Rough player but responds to “break “ command to separate him from his housemate. Food motivated so treats work for behavior management. Know lots of commands, good recall. Leash skills are good but can continue to be polished up. Reactive to cars in most situations. Just completed a 2 week board and train to address car reactivity. In August successfully completed his Canine Good Citizen test .
No choke collars, e collars, etc. we use a Halti for training and also a Wonder Walk harness. Would do well on a large property. Currently runs and plays in a fenced yard. We are older with some health issues that make it difficult for us to give him all the activity that he needs. We have listed him before but decided to try keeping him. We think rehoming is best for him at this time.
