Biography
Sydney is a 4 year old, 54 lbs., female pitbull. She is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and in excellent health. She is house trained, crate trained, and goes for walks using a gentle leader. She is a good girl who is smart and food motived (which is great for training). She loves chew toys and does best in a calm environment.
Sydney would do best in an adult only household as your only pet. She has anxiety which is best addressed with medication (she takes fluoxetine). She does not have separation anxiety and does not react to fireworks (she actually sleeps through them). Although she is crate trained, she does not need to be crated when she is left at home.
We adopted her a year ago and love her, but we have a child and Sydney would do best in an adult-only home with people who want to continue to work with her.
With the Home to Home platform, the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County (HSTPC) helps connect people looking to rehome their pets with potential adopters. The pets on this page are NOT a part of the HSTPC adoption program, have not been assessed by HSTPC, and HSTPC is not able to verify the accuracy of descriptions written by the pet owner.
