Biography

She loves to be brushed, cuddling, and playing fetch if you have the right toy. She was adopted at 13 weeks from NHS in 2018 and is now 4 years old. She still has her claws but has never showed any major bad clawing/scratching behaviors.

Here’s a little background information on why we feel she would thrive in a different home. She was adopted at the same time as my male Norwegian forest cat who was five months old at the time. They always got along very well, but Tuna likes to rule the house. When I moved in with my boyfriend and his female dog, Tuna would often hiss at her even if the dog was simply just walking by. This I always felt was just a sign of establishing dominance between the two females. They learned to coexist fairly well. It’s been 2.5 years in our combined household & a redbone puppy has now entered the mix. It’s been 1 year and we never see Tuna anymore unless it’s late at night when the rest of the pets are sleeping. It breaks my heart that she’s always hiding and not playing and socializing like she used to. The other 3 fur babies are always around us whereas she isolates herself. She never acted like that until the combined household change. When it’s just us in the room she is still the sweetest and cuddliest cat. I just know that she would be so much happier and thrive better in a one animal home. A home where she can be fully spoiled and comfortably roam.

This has been an extremely hard decision that I’ve continuously delayed because I want to know that she will find and go to a loving and FOREVER home. The last thing I ever want is for her to end up back in the shelter because she deserves so much more. If you think your home would be a great fit, please reach out.

Including her favorite things with her to wherever her new home may be?
