Biography
Riddy is a 4-year old Great Pyrenees that we have had for about 1-1/2 years. Relatively small at 80 pounds, she is a wonderful dog but is too cramped and stressed in Seattle, even with a large backyard. She is playful and great with other dogs.
Riddy would thrive in a home with a large (2+ acre) yard that doesn't have a lot of visitors, with another dog for companionship. She is a classic Great Pyrenees, and will require a strong alpha to lead her. We have two small kids, and have had some issues with her getting aggressive with them when she gets stressed. This is ultimately the issue that is leading us to re-home, her best situation would be in a home with no small children.
Riddy is very sweet and playful, loves to play and likes to have contact with her people - she is quick to lean or put out a paw.
Riddy is happy to be home alone, no issues with separation anxiety. She is not an adventure buddy, she prefers staying home to going on a camping trip or a road trip.
Ultimately we are looking to re-home due to the issues we have had with our small children, we think a better situation will lead to Riddy being much happier.
