Aspen is half husky (dad) and 1/4 Australian shepherd 1/4 German shepherd (mom). She can be timid at first meeting new people but warms up with treats and belly rubs. She will require a home with a fully fenced yard and someone who can provide ample exercise (running buddy, hiking buddy). At the end of the day, she loves to curl up on the couch but will also lay happily at our feet on her bed. She can be talkative (that’s the husky) and can do what I like to call “doggie barkour” (parkour) if she didn’t get enough playtime/exercise during the day.

She would enjoy a home with another dog savvy dog. She’s approx. 50 pounds.

Dog meet and greets will be required (I can meet in neutral territory, maybe a dog park). Aspen needs someone that can give her more time and training that she deserves. She is housebroken and uses bells at the door to alert you when she needs to go outside. Easily goes in her crate when you tell her “bed.” She is current on all vaccines and spayed. Proof can be obtained from our vet if requested.

She is not good with cats and will chase them. Recently, she has started going after our chickens. She’s not well suited for farm life due to her breed. She does get carsick and will need meds for longer trips. We order them off chewy website. She is fine with our kids (age 4 and 7). The most annoying thing she does to them is too many kisses.
