Biography

Please note: I am bonded with my brother, Mochi, so we are a pair, and cannot to separated.

Hello! My name is Shanti. I am a shar-pei mix, and 37lbs. I am a little bit shy, but very food motivated, so with a little patience, I can be your new best friend. I'm not afraid of vacuums, or fireworks. I'm good with cats, children, and dogs. I like a good walk, but I don't like running. I don't pull the leash, unless I see a squirrel or bunny. Other than that, I always walk next to you.

I am slightly afraid of bath time, and having my nails trimmed, but am not aggressive or reactive. I am afraid of bouncy balls. I know the following commands: sit, stay, shake, down (to lay down), and go (to go upstairs from sitting position).

My day-to-day schedule is, ~20 minute morning walk around 9-10am, and am fed 1/2 cup of dog food. I go outside to pee every 3-4 hours, and like to eat vegetables like cucumbers and carrots throughout the day. I get another ~20 minute walk around 8pm, and fed another 1/2 cup of dog food around 6pm, and am taken out once more to pee around 11pm. I sleep through the night, quietly, without having to be taken out.

I don't typically bark, unless a doorbell rings, and/or someone is outside. I don't have any allergies, or health problems. I was last seen at the vet April 2024, and am up to date on vaccines, and am microchipped.
