Jekyll is a kitten who was removed as part of several litters from a home where they received no medical care or shelter. He and his companions have spent the past six months in my home becoming socialized and learning how to be happy kittens!

Jekyll got his name because for the first couple of months, I hardly ever saw him. And when I did, he was very quiet and reclusive around me. But when I left the room, I would see him happily playing with the others and acting normally. Using the litter box just like the others. It was like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

With time, patience, a nice voice and generous offerings of catnip, I have won Jekyll over. He is now happy to see me and has learned that petting is veeery nice. He takes treats, loves catnip, and enjoys playing when he feels safe.

Jekyll definitely takes his cues from the cats around him, and as such would do best in a house with at least one other cat, or alone to the right person. He is the ideal candidate for someone who is looking to take TWO cats, as he can happily go with any of his littermates (or join a household with an existing cat after the appropriate getting-to-know-each-other-stage). He is already spayed, microchipped and vaccinated.

Jekyll is ready for a forever home where he can grow to be confident, love and be loved. :)
