Pyke is a great Pyrenees, Anatolian shepherd mix, hes roughly 130-150lbs, I dont remember when his next shots are due. Hes excellent on the leash and knows his name, he melts in your hands for pets. He loves being groomed, brush, scratched, patted, he'll do anything for attention. We've had him ever since he was a puppy. We live on 5 acres in Battleground with all sorts of animals. Pykes job is to gaurd our property as we've had many intruders/trespassers. he's a great gaurd dog, he barks and alerts when he should and we've had no issues since he's been here, but our neighbors, though all being acres away, have complained of the barking ever since he's arrived. Nothing we've done has appeased them, we've tried building pens and kennels and making a routine for his free roaming that suits our needs but also gives the neighbors "relief". The only thing these attempts have done is provide pyke the circumstances to teach himself to scale fences and dig holes. No kennel or pen or yard we have can contain him, and there's no place he cannot be heard and no place he cannot reach. It's to the point we fear his safety when he starts climbing our front gate to the main road. I worry it's only a matter of time before he's hit by a car or killed by roaming someone else's property.

We've tried training, kenneling inside, routines and restrictions. Nothings worked. The only thing that did work was when we adopted his puppy, he was bred once and we took one from the litter, he was distracted with his play mate so much he didn't do his job at all, not only that he struggles with resource gaurding with other dogs. If the food is good enough, if the food is good food he'll fight over it, if not he'll starve himself as it's not worth the effort to him. So we sent the puppy home and he resumed eating and barking like we need but the neighbors hate.

Pyke is picky, we call him picky pyke. I've tried so many different feeding routines and food and mixes and this one works, try what you like but this one works. Pyke gets fed 8-10 cups of dry dog food, 2 raw chicken eggs, 2 cups of chicken stock and 2 cups of water ONCE a day. If you feed half this twice a day he gets bored of the food and wastes it.

It breaks my heart but he needs a new hole. I don't think it'd be hard to get him accustomed to being inside SOMETIMES. At most, inside outside dog. He needs some acreage, he'd probably not do well in a neighborhood, he can climb fences. He needs someone with extra time to be with him and take him on walks or he needs a big property with no restrictions. I've put blood, sweat, tears, time and money into pyke and I'm at my wits end. He needs a good home.
