About 3 years ago, I took in a pregnant stray off the street in who gave birth 2 days before Snovid 2021. All 8 puppies made it and were rehomed! Sadly, though, one of the pups has been returned to us by the original adopter for behavior concerns. :( He was with them for almost 3 years, but he was not acclimating well to their new baby. They did everything they could, but he is a VERY jumpy/nervous dog and were concerned he would snap at the baby, especially as it turned into a toddler.

Well, now we're looking for his forever home with no luck so far. His name is Graham, and ever since his earliest days, he has been *terrified* of strangers. It does take him a while to warm up and come out of his shell. He will growl and bark and act all scary but he just needs a minute to meet the person and for them to let him come to them. Treats and toys are a good icebreaker for him, then once he does trust you, IT'S ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!!! He is a VERY sweet, playful little man. The best work to describe Graham is "goofball"! He's so silly, it sometimes feels intentional. He will play all day even by himself. He'll also sit and watch tv (especially DogTV) with you. Graham also loves to play in the pool! Would probably be a great dog to take to the river! He is good with cats and dogs just NOT children. I am not trying to bring him to our local shelter due to his reactive behavior and their high euthanasia rates - he wouldn't survive a day. I just want make sure Graham gets the best chance at life and for him to learn that people aren't so scary. I have been working with him the past few months and he's already made so much progress and is so eager to please his human.

Graham has been vetted completely vetted - inside and out. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, and had a 6 month Proheart inj. He's also had full panel blood work as well as a fecal and heartworm test which all came back negative. He does have environmental allergies, so he will need either allergy meds or allergy injections when he has flare-ups but that seems to be keeping it controlled.

I truly adore this dog so much but we have 4 of our own (3 of which are not dog friendly). Due to our dog-agressive dogs, and me bringing my senior dog to work most days, Graham will spend almost 20 hours of the day in a kennel. I'm desperately trying to find a place for him because he deserves the world.
