Colt is a kind-hearted big teddy bear with a loud bark. We adopted Colt when he was about 3 years old from someone who was surrendering him. When we took him home we found that he was riddled with anxiety. We went through years of behavioral training and medication to no avail. Colt is very sweet but has very little self-awareness he does not do very well around small children as he will go straight through them to get to whatever he is heading towards. He is fairly destructive as well. We are parting ways with him now because we have two very young children in our house and are nervous to have him around them. Ideally, Colt needs to be with someone who has time to be one on one with him, no small children, and a decent amount of open space.
