I adopted Hobbes as a kitten over covid. I waited forever for one to be available at that time. I drove hours out to Ladysmith, Wisconsin to go pick him up from the humane society. He’s around 3 years old now.

Hobbes is an extraordinary cat, and an excellent friend, but I’m getting more and more busy. I don’t have enough time for him anymore. He deserves a more present family.

He’s well behaved, tidy, extremely cuddly, and unreasonably independent. For someone who understands cats, there’s a long list of things to appreciate about him.

He stays off the counters but is very interested in sitting with me or on my lap. He's on the quiet side unless he's particularly pleased about something. His food and water have always come from automated feeders, so he doesn't whine for food/drink. He's tidy with the litter box and uses a drop-down container with the Purina Breeze System. It's low maintenance, non-smelly, and everything stays put well--especially compared to clay litters. He's never had a problem adapting to the other litters I've tested with him.

He has a sweet and loving disposition. It's always just been me and him, but if made comfortable my guess would be that he would mesh with most families and fit right in once he got used to the goings on of the household.
