Biography

Ryker was born May 7th, 2020. Neutered and microchipped. First year of life went to nursing homes as a therapy dog. After Covid, he became more of a home body. Gets anxious away from home. Weary of men. Warms up to women fairly quickly. Gets along well with other dogs at home, but has high anxiety with dogs off property. He resource guards food and special treats. So I feed separately. He gets stressed and fearful around young kids. Has been around horses, pigs and cats. I had an Allergy test done since he was having skin issues. He's allergic to turkey, Lamb, grass and certain weeds. He's been doing better on Victor's grain-free canine hero food which also supports joints. Loves to give hugs, shake paws, play tug o war, chew bones, etc. Doesn't enjoy getting into the car but travels very well once in the car and enjoys sticking his head out the window. Never been car sick. His favorite toys are ones he can swing around and jolly balls. He will tear stuffing out of toys. He's a loveable goof most of the time who will lean into you and want loves. I just can't trust him around my future 5 year old stepson. We've tried careful introduction over the last 1.5 years, but Ryker still presents as incredibly stressed out and fearful. He has growled and snarled at him. He needs to be in a less stressful environment.
