Biography

Kekoa is a 4.5 year old sharpei. He is an unaltered male. He is good with other dogs and enjoys their company/companionship. Kekoa has a few health issues that are keeping us from being able to take him back to the mainland with us. His eardrum ruptured a few years ago and a few vets told us it could not be repaired. Therefore it would be cruel to put him on a flight. Other issues include cataract in one eye and a cherry eye. He is a good boy and loves his people. Our hearts are literally broken but due to unforeseen circumstances we are leaving the island on
May 24th and we cannot take home with us. PLEASE help us find him and kind and loving home. He is scared of new people until he gets to sniff them out. Then he thinks they are his new best friends. So a behavioral concern is his initial reaction to be stand-offish. He is not aggressive and has never tried to bite or hurt anyone he just stand back until he feels comfortable approaching new people.
