Biography

Maisy would do best in an environment with no other pets or young children as their unpredictable movements and noises can be a bit scary for her. Preferably in a home with no children or at least no children under 13. Maisy is very attached to her human mom and is always on guard and in protection mode when she is around. It has become difficult to maintain a healthy environment in our home because of this. She has shown some aggression towards our 7-year-old daughter and our other dog due to this. Maisy is very calm and relaxed around my husband and I along with our 13-year-old. We have a sibling of hers from a different litter and she can be a bit of a bully to him at times. She likes to be the center of attention. We have worked with a trainer and it is something that can not be changed. Basically, Maisy needs to be the only baby in the house.
Maisy will be 4 years old on June 14th of this year and she weighs around 70 pounds. She has been with us since she was a puppy. She is a very playful and intelligent dog, but can be overly protective and overly excited by visitors. She is house trained and crate trained, but doesn’t require crating. A big fenced yard is a requirement as she loves the outdoors and is outside as much as she can be. She loves the snow and loves the cold weather.
Maisy is a sweetheart and also a huge baby who loves to snuggle. She loves to be groomed and she loves to go for walks. She does pull a bit…as I’m sure most of them do…but she does great with a gentle leader. She is high energy and we give her a calming supplement in the morning and at night. This was at the recommendation of our trainer and we have noticed a huge difference. We have been giving her Composure by VetriScience and it is easily accessible and not expensive. We order it off of Amazon.
Maisy is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines and flea/tick and heartworm prevention. We would like to make sure she is going to a good home and to someone who is serious about taking on this commitment and also for safety reasons. We want to know about your home environment and your lifestyle to make sure we are getting our sweet girl to the best home that she deserves. We are located in Oshkosh, WI and could possibly meet within a few hours of driving distance.
