Biography

If you are up to a challenge, then keep on reading…

We adopted Sunshine when she was 1 year. She is declawed (front paws only) and has only been indoors (she is not one of those cats that tries to escape - like two of my other cats do). When we adopted Sunshine, we already had 1 dog and 2 cats, and we thought we did our research on her because her notes said that she was good with all animals and kids. Unfortunately, she never adapted to living with the other cats and absolutely hates being around them (my dog and her seem to have an understanding and they keep their distance). She goes around the house growling and hissing, constantly attacking one of our other cats while another cat constantly attacks her. I can deal with that, but now she has started urinating on my kitchen counter. I took her to the vet who ruled out any medical issues that might be the source of this behavior. I think she does this because she hates the other cats and is trying to mark her territory.

Sunshine is talkative. She enjoys and loves attention, cuddling on your lap, sleeping on you or by your feet in bed, being pet (absolutely no touching her belly or tail), being pet (when she asks for it - not before or after - you will know when she has had enough).

She would do great in a home without young children and without other cats or with someone that has lots of time to work with her. She has made me her human and I’m very attached to her so this is very hard (she is sleeping on me as I type this), but I’d rather re-home her rather than put her in a shelter.
