Aurora is a young (we think around 2 years old) German Shepherd & Siberian Husky mix. She was a wild one when we rescued her about 9 months ago, but with the help of some really great trainers Aurora has manners and is great at her commands of sit, down, extended down, place and heel. She still has her youthful energy and is amazing with kids and every person she comes across.

She has always played very well with our 6 year old Shepherd/Doberman mix (who's always been kind of the alpha). Aurora always wants to play with her. Unfortunately, in the last 3 weeks (for whatever reason) the two have gotten into 3 really bad dog fights. We think our older dog has given her little get away from me triggers, but not sure who started each one. After the first one, we thought it was just a fluke over some food, but the next two happened in back to back days. It took both my wife and I to separate them and they wouldn't stop until they were put in separate rooms. During the last fight, our son was knocked down and, though nothing happened to him, it scared us into making the tough decision to rehome Aurora. We're devastated by this, but we realize we need to go to a single dog home for the first time in years. As I write this, our other dog is at Aurora's crate & they're waging tails wanting to play. So she's not an aggressive dog.

We've spent the entire 9 months in training. She loves to snuggle, take naps on our recliner and greet you when you come home with happy ears and kisses. On another note, she should not be in a home with cats.
