Biography

Indiana, born May 25, 2022 was given to us as a weaned puppy. Her mother was a Korean jindo and black lab mix, and her father is unknown. She lives in the yard, and is a good guard dog. She likes to dig and run, so will need plenty of space to do so in a fenced yard. She will come in the house if invited, but is not house trained. She has been given regular medication for fleas, ticks, mites, heartworm, and worms in the form of Revolution and Canex. She has not been fixed or vaccinated. She has lived with a large family, so is accustomed to lots of people. She loves belly rubs. She is exercised every morning and night in the form of walks, running beside scooters or bikes, or runs – all on leash. She does not like the ocean, but does like car rides. She loves to hide under the outside stairs and get rubs as we go in and out of the house. She needs to be the only pet, as she has killed a number of our ducks and chickens, and I can not break her of the habit. She played with a number of different dogs as she was growing, but in the last six months has gotten so that she can not be off leash by other dogs. This is because she and my son were attacked by dogs while walking on our street. Consequently Indiana is now quite terrified of other dogs.
She has gotten in bad fights with both of her best dog friends.
Consequently, she just needs to be the only pet. She is very affectionate, but not always as obedient as could be hoped. I have yet to train her not to jump up and lick the faces of small children, or jump up on anyone else for that matter.
