Maya is a 3.5 year old spayed, female German Shepherd, who loves to be loved and cuddle. She is good with other dogs, cats, and chickens, but can take some warming up to other dogs. She is very protective of her family, and can sometimes be a little overprotective by barking loudly and has nipped a few people in the face when she was protecting our son, which is the main reason we want to find a foster. She would do best with someone who has a large fenced in yard or piece of property to roam, which we cannot give her where we will be stationed with the military. She LOVES walks and hiking! She also does not travel well in the car and will get car sick, though she loves to go with! Looking for a long term foster so we could take her back when we find a home with a yard or my husband retires from the military and we can get our forever home with a large yard or farm property! She is trained well, house broken, crate trained, knows some commands and is a great listener with great recall!
